Gary Ray Holtry, 50, of Nampa, passed away on May 15, 2019 at a Boise hospital from natural causes.

He was born on January 29, 1969 in Nampa to Wathene (Wally) and Gilbert Holtry of Nampa and he entered this world the baby of the family.  This baby however, never failed to show his older brothers and sisters how to live life to its fullest.  He thrived in the outdoor environment and never missed an opportunity to inject humor. Intense and focused, few could match Gary’s wit, humor or charming good looks.  The exception to that may have been his muscle car coupled with the Mario Andretti driving skills he honed in his early years.

A man of honor, Gary joined the Navy and served his country from 1987 to 1993 earning an Honorable Discharge.

It was that handsome guy with the sparkling eyes and sense of humor that caught the eye of Pam.  Gary had finally found something more interesting than that muscle car and the family rejoiced.  July 1, 1995 marked the day Pam and Gary were married paving the way for two beautiful children; son Zach and daughter Zoe.  Gary touched so many during his short life, we all will miss him more than words can say.

Gary was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Holtry, brothers, Danny Holtry, Deo Holtry and Grandparents, Ray and Minnie Holtry and Rev. George and Irene Fitch.  Survivors include his wife, Pam and their children, Zach and Zoe; mother, Wally Holtry Binford; brothers and sisters, Dixie Newton, Sheryl Wahl, Diane Purdy, Philip Holtry, Beryl Holtry, Byron Holtry and Greg Holtry.
