He has also been a member of the Chevrolet National Dealer Council and the New Mexico Auto Dealers Association. Gary was an avid pilot who loved to fly. He was a member of the Duke Flyers Association and the American Bonanza Society. Mr. Tillery was very proud to be involved with his children’s activities and sports and served as a board member and coach at the Altamont Little League. He supported and enjoyed many golf, swimming, baseball and soccer teams that his children belonged to over many years. He was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, and greatly cherished the lifelong friendships he made while at Eastern New Mexico University. Gary was an active member of the NM Chapter of YPO/WPO International, another source of many close friendships. Mostly, Gary treasured the time he had with his family and friends, especially at his cabin on the San Juan River where he could fish or just enjoy the beauty. He was quick to make friends, enjoyed a good day on the golf course and loved a joke, good or bad.
