Gary C. Poore, 58, of Bloomington, IN, passed away on Sept 18, 2009 at Bloomington Hospital. He was born in Anniston, AL in 1951 and was a 1969 graduate of Martinsville High School.
Gary enjoyed abstract art (“The Marker Man”), restoring classic automobiles and trucks, and cruising on his Harley. He will be remembered for his warm smile, unusual sense of humor and big bear hugs. Gary loved his family, attending the North Central church of Christ, and his companion cat “G.”
Gary is survived by his mother, Ree Stephenson; step-father Fletch Stephenson; step-mother Mary Kay Rinker; son John Poore; daughter Amanda Poore; brothers Auston Poore and Stephen Poore; sister Patricia Gallagher, four grandchildren and six half/step siblings. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald A. Poore.
