Gary Martin Sr., 54, of LaSalle, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 4, 2011 at his home. Mr. Martin was born September 7, 1956 in Philadelphia, PA to Levon and Freda (Mullens) Martin. He worked as a tax preparation analyst at Abacus Tax Service in Peru.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of LaSalle, involved in various activities. His greatest joy was his family; he was the greatest dad, greatest papa and a very strong willed Christian man.
He is survived by his mother Freda Martin of Peru; 3 children, Gary Martin Jr. of Louisville, KY, Grant (Zara) Martin of Woodbridge, VA and Jody (Mark) Jackson of Louisville, KY; 2 grandchildren Zachary and Samara Martin; 3 brothers, Steve (Letty) Martin of Seatonville, IL, Robert (Nora) Martin of New Berlin, WI and Bill (Lauren) Martin of Honolulu, Hawaii; a sister Sheree Kutter of Peru and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Levon Marty Martin.
