MATTHEWS – Mr. Gary Michael Cooper Sr., 63, died Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Carrington Place in Matthews.
Mr. Cooper was a diesel mechanic for over 30 years, working for MAC trucking and later with Peterbilt. He attended Eastwood Forest Baptist Church. Mr. Cooper was a big fan of roller coasters and had enjoyed a recent trip to Carowinds.
Mr. Cooper is predeceased by his father, John Cooper, brother, Teddy Cooper and adopted daughter, Angela Cooper. His surviving family, mother, Thelma Griffin Cooper, daughter, Leslie Anne Cooper, both of Matthews, son, Gary Michael Cooper, Jr., of Charlotte, sister Billie Cooper of Atlanta, Ga., brothers, Barry Cooper of Waxhaw and Tim Cooper of Weddington, one grandson, Noah Cooper and five granddaughters, Maranda Herlocker, Natalie Iversen, Avigail Iversen, Samantha Autry and Maryjane Autry.
