Gary L. Thomas, age 58, of Boardman, formerly of Salem died at 5:17 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center. He was born February 10, 1958 in East Liverpool the son of the late Cecil Thomas and late Lois J. (Roach) Stoffer. Gary worked for the Utz Foods Inc. as the warehouse manager for 15 years. He was Christian by faith, a member of the Salem AmVets Post 45 and the Salem Slovak Club. Gary loved to travel. He served in the United States Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Rosa “Linda” Thomas, whom he married June 16, 2007; 2 daughters, Deanna (Doug) Hoover of Alliance and Kristina (Ben) Virden of Beloit; 2 step-daughters, Kristen (Jeff) Petrycki of Austintown and Brianne (Brian) Lanzendorfer of New Waterford; a step-son, Lee (Mary) Lewis of Watertown, Wisconsin; 4 sisters, Barbara (Ray) Standing of Alliance, Brenda Blair of Alliance, Karen Dabney of Dover and Vicki (Craig) Kuhlman of Columbiana; 2 brothers, John (June) Boley of East Palestine and Howard (Karen) Bott of East Liverpool and 16 grandchildren.
His stepfather, Paul Stoffer, a daughter, Eryca Lynn Thomas and a brother, Robert Thomas, also preceded him in death.
