Gary E. Daniel, 68, of Beardstown, IL, and formerly of Virginia, IL died Sunday, October 28, 2018, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. He was born January 2, 1950, in Jacksonville, IL, the son of James A. and Ruth E. Ash Daniel.
Gary is survived by a brother, Robert A. Daniel (Malinda) of Virginia; two nephews, Jeff Daniel of Alton and Sean Daniel (Molly) of Virginia; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.
Gary was a charter student at Pathway School in Jacksonville and was a former Boy Scout with the Pathway Troop. For many years, he enjoyed working at the Human Resources agency in Beardstown and residing at Beardstown Terrace in Beardstown. He enjoyed country music and watching reruns of the Bonanza TV series.
