Gary Denzil Shaffer, age 53, of Grafton, passed away, Saturday, December 18, 2010, at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born in Barbour County, November 22, 1957, a son of the late Claudie D. Shaffer and is survived by his Mother, Evelyn Edwards Shaffer Stewart of Salem. In addition to his Father, he was preceded in death by his step-father, John Stewart, one sister; Louisa Kay Shaffer, one brother; Terry Shaffer, Grandparents; Burlin and Etha Dove Shaffer, Marcellus and Hallie Irene Edwards. Gary is survived by three sisters; Robin and Donnie Collins of Bridgeport, Crystal and Paul Corbin of Tunnelton, Roxanna Grice of Kingwood, and several nieces and nephews, who he loved very much. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved being outdoors and spending time with his family.
