Gary Dean (Skip, Zig) Ziegler, 57, died of natural causes while working in Meridian, ID on May 30, 2012.

Gary was born November 25, 1954, in Boise, Idaho to John W. and Mary Arlene (Kimball) Ziegler. He graduated from Nampa High School. He married the love of his life, Marshia Eiguren on October 2, 2004 and they made their home in Caldwell.

Gary walked in his father’s footsteps, choosing a career to serve the public as a plumber. He had a strong work ethic to serve his customers. It was common for him to work any hour or day of the week. He worked for the City of Boise as a plumbing inspector. He was self employed and the owner and operator of M & G Enterprises being licensed in both Idaho and Oregon. Gary enjoyed his work and was very fond of people. He never met a stranger and his friends were always invited to join him for a drink and a steak on the bar-b-que. Gary loved the great outdoors especially his hunting and fishing trips from Alaska to Mexico, and the annual deer and elk hunt with his best buddies. He liked to go boating and to travel preparing for the opportunity to retire somewhere in the sunshine.

Gary lived and worked in the Treasure Valley all his life except when he spent one year living and working at the South Pole, Antartica.

He is survived by his wife, Marshia; children, Ann Ledford (Morris) and Shawn Staples; grandchildren, Juli Ledford, Nicole Brock (Jesi), Austin Ledord and a great grandson, Elias Hunter Brock; sister in law, Stephanie Shipman; nephews, Lee and Peter Shipman and a niece Laura Everett (Mike); sisters, Teresa Kenneda (Lon) and Janice Aman (Joe); nephews, Eric Kenneda (Laurie), Ryan Kenneda (Dawn), Steven J.
