Gary Berte, age 58 of Livermore, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020. Gary Thomas Berte was born on December 4, 1961 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Alvin and Mary (Newton) Berte. He graduated from Twin River Valley High School in 1980. Gary farmed and was employed by the City of Livermore. He loved following sports; especially the Hawkeyes. Gary loved to go fishing and hunting. You could always find him in his garage fixing things. He was quite the handyman. Gary loved to spend time with his family; especially his grandchildren. Left to cherish his memory are his significant other, Judy Kutschara of Livermore; daughter, Sharisse (Matt) Lombard of Fort Dodge; siblings, Marcia (Brian) Fuller of Johnston, Dennis (Marlene) Berte of Fort Dodge, Christine (Dennis) Lanning of Cripple Creek, CO, Steve (Lynne) Berte of Humboldt, Leona (Don) Salz of Apex, NC, Alvin J. (Janet) Berte of Livermore and Ann Origer (Kevin) of Ogden; two grandchildren, Owen and Harper Lombard of Fort Dodge and extended children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Mary Berte.
