Mr. Gary Warren, of Newnan passed away Monday, November 10, 2014 on his 67th birthday. Born November 10, 1947 in Sargent, GA, he was the eldest of 5 boys. After graduating from Western High School in 1966 and attending West Georgia College, he was drafted into the Armed Forces, where he served from 1968-1970. Upon returning home from his station in Germany he went to work at First National Bank, working in the banking industry for 25 plus years. He worked his way up from teller to vice-president. After retirement he ran a part-time construction business, Warren Construction. He was baptized at New Lebanon Baptist Church, where he served as the Choral Director in his teenage years. He later transferred his membership to Arnco Baptist Church where he was an active member and a deacon in the church. He enjoyed playing softball, basketball and volleyball on the church teams. Eventually he transferred his membership to Royal Baptist Church. He is survived by Sherry Smith Warren of Newnan and their 2 children, Shane (and wife Elizabeth) of Newnan and Leigh (and husband Harley) of Panama City Beach, FL, and by his 3 grandchildren Khi Pizar, Christine Warren, and Kylie Warren all of Newnan, as well as his 4 brothers, Terry Warren, David Warren, Danny Warren, and Ricky Warren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Garland and Christine McClendon Warren.
