Gaila Marie (Gates) Sauseda, 48, of LaSalle, passed away October 10, 2012 at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru.
Mrs. Sauseda was born May 15, 1964 in Aurora to Duane and Dorothy (Henn) Gates. She married Guadalupe Sauseda on June 13, 2006 in Ottawa. Mrs. Sauseda was a member of Mighty Word Church in LaSalle. She was a dietary specialist at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru. She was always there to help others. She gave everyone a chance and never gave up on anyone. She was a glass half-full kind of person. She will be remembered for the smile she always had on her face and her cooking and baked goods. She was a very loving wife and mother. Suvivors include her husband, Guadalupe of LaSalle; three sons, Christopher Robbins and James Robbins both of LaSalle and Michael (Heidi) Robbins of Kentuky; her mother, Dorothy Gates of Aurora; three sisters, Sandy (Nolan) Mires of Sugar Grove, Polly Gates of Aurora and Julie (Bill) Maroney of Boulder Hill; one brother, D.J. (Jodi) Gates of Aurora and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Duane Gates, one nephew, Duane Gates Jr. and her father and mother-in-law, Guadalupe Sr. and Elida Sauseda. Pallbearers will be Guadalupe Sauseda, Christopher Robbins, James Robbins, D.J. Gates, Armando Sauseda and Larry Henson.
