Gail Krohn

Mrs. Gail Krohn, of Bay City, passed away early Sunday morning, November 23, 2014 at Toni and Trish House in Auburn, age 71. The daughter of the late Stanley and Wilhelmina (Grohs) Martin, she was born November 12, 1943 in Bay City. Gail retired after 30 years of service from Bay City Powertrain and enjoyed her monthly dinners with her Powertrain friends, the Dinner Dolls. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish – St. Mary’s Church. Gail had many pets throughout the years and she loved them dearly. She enjoyed going to the casino, especially playing Keno.
In 1972 Gail married Joachim ‘Joe’ W. Krohn and he preceded her in death in 2001. She is survived by a sister, Marilyn Smith (David Tervalon) of Louisiana; her sister-in-law, Carol Martin of Bay City; and several nieces and nephews across the country. Gail was also preceded in death by her brother, James R. Martin; two sisters, Delores Dowling and Loretta Anderson; and a nephew, Brian Smith.
Gail’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Beth and Carol from Mid-Michigan Hospice for the wonderful care they gave Gail throughout her illness.
It was Gail’s desire for cremation to take place.
