Gabriyel Steven Gilley, just over 4 months old, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Health, Anderson. He was born February 11, 2013, to Kayla Clark and Steven Gilley, both of Anderson.
Gabe gave us a lifetime of love during his short time on earth. He was always laughing, smiling, and cooing, constantly bright-eyed and taking in everything around him. One of his most famous trips was to Menards, where he actually turned around in his car seat and stood on his hands looking up at all the lights to not miss a thing. He made a long trip in the truck to Nashville, Indiana to see his cousin play softball. Another daily routine was Grandpa Brian Clark babysitting for him 4 or 5 days a week. “Papa” never let him cry on his watch. Brian told God that he expected the same of him when Gabe arrived in Heaven. Then his Grandma Rebecca Clark would sing to him every day when he arrived, “The Wheels on the Bus”. She would grab his legs and sing the song and make gestures along with the song. He would just laugh and laugh. He was loved by so many more family members and friends. His short-lived life has made a tremendous impact on many people, including his Uncle John Clark.
