Gabriel Daniel “Gabe” Fahnestock, 39, of Winchester, VA went to be with Jesus on Sunday, November 19, 2023.
Gabe was born in Ontario, Canada on May 18, 1984. At the age of 18, he moved to Winchester, VA where he pursued his career with R.H. Combs & Sons Excavating for 21 years. It was the same year that he met the love of his life, Ashley Seabolt Fahnestock and they were married June 18, 2005. They completed their family with Rachel (10), Samuel (8), and Silas (4). Gabe has a wide variety of interests. He loved woodworking, playing hockey and hunting. Farming wasn’t just a hobby; it was a way of life and a lifelong dream come true. Gabe, Ashley, and the kids took great pride in working hard to build Yellowbird Landing Farm. But the most important thing about Gabe was his love for Jesus Christ. He gave his life to the Lord when he was five years old and despite the trials he’s faced, he never wavered in his walk with Jesus. He was extremely selfless and generous.
Gabe is survived by his parents Lennie and Bonnie Fahnestock; his loving wife Ashley and their three children; his sister Bethany Mounce (Shaun); his brother Caleb Fahnestock (Jamie); his mother and father in law Martin and Deann Seabolt; sister-in-law Hannah TerVeen (JB); his nieces and nephews Luciana (10), Jed (8), Norah (7), Emaline (5), and Emmaline (5) along with numerous loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
