G. Joanne (Mullen) Edmundson, 84, of Fortville, died April 5, 2011 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. She was born April 22, 1926 to the late Johnnie W. Mullen, Jr. and Frances J. (Mohr) Mullen in Guernsey, Iowa.
She retired from Strough’s Grocery Store. Before that, she worked at the Department of Public Health, as a dental assistant, and also worked at Hook’s Drug Store. Joanne was a member of both the VFW Post 6904 and American Legion Post 391 Ladies Auxiliaries. Joanne was a wonderful baker and pen pal. She was a devoted and dedicated mother, grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her son, Curtis R. Edmundson of New Sharon, IA; daughter, Lucia (Richard) Story of Lake Worth, FL; son, Hal (Sharoll) of Oskaloosa, IA; son, Van L. (Karen) of Anderson, IN; son, Chess (Nancy) of Indianapolis; son, Chris T. (Jean) of Greenwood, IN; daughter Janann (Richard) Stearman of Fortville; 16 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Orlando Edmundson in 2006; brother Roger Ray Mullen; daughter-in-law Debbie Edmundson; and grandchildren Gabriel and Nathan.
