G. Harvey Haldeman, the son of Jay and and Clara (Preston) Haldeman, was born September 24, 1920 in Timnath, Colorado. He was a graduate of Timnath High School.
On January 4, 1954 Harvey was united in marriage to D. Berdine Breckenridge in Raton, New Mexico. He had been a warehouse forklift operator for Safeway Grocery, Inc. After Harvey and Berdine returned to Newton, Iowa in 1977, he worked for the Newton Manufacturing Company as a night custodian, and later at Greenbthumb in the topographical map department.
Harvey was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Berdine in 1998; his brother, Byron; an his sister, Thelma Cuthbertson. Those left to honor his memory are his two sons and daughters-in-law, Steven J. and Sandra Haldeman; and Mike and Cheryl Haldeman, all of Newton; his three grandchildren, Tara and Jeff Haldeman and Patrick Garr.
