Frieda Sohl, Beatrice, NE, was born March 28, 1916 on a farm north of Herkimer, KS to Ernest and Emma (Dierking) Bluhm. She was brought into God’s Kingdom by Holy Baptism on April 9, 1916, at Zion Lutheran Church in Herkimer, KS, Rev. H.C. Martings. After moving with her parents to a farm south east of Odell, NE she attended Bethlehem Lutheran School, and made public confession of her faith in the rite of confirmation on April 13, 1930, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Bremen, KS, with Rev. J.V.
Frieda was a gifted seamstress and loved to read especially her bible
Frieda was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Emma Bluhm; her husband, of nearly 52 years Alvin on Oct. 20, 1995; brother, Gilbert Bluhm.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Florence Bluhm of Beatrice; many nieces and nephews.
