Born in Pestel Haiti, Fredo Bonhomme, 50, began his journey through life. Fredo was
the third son of farmer Eltane Bonhomme and his wife Marie Elacide Saint Louis. While
growing up in Haiti, Fredo learned how to be quick-witted and gain wisdom beyond his
years. At the age 21, Fredo decided to immigrate to America with his wife, Marie
SaintFelix for a better life.
Fredo was a trucker with routes that spanned from cold wintry Maine to sunny California.
Like he said he was always “coast to coast”. He was immensely proud about his
knowledge of American roads and boasted about being everywhere. He was a well-
respected hauler for the past several years. Since he had an extensive knowledge in the
transportation industry, he became a business owner to run his own freight company.
Fredo was determined to provide for his family and tried his best to give them the world.
His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often
mentioned. He knew how to run a tight ship, as a result he was infinitely proud of Marc,
Frantzley, Kimberly, Britney and Marie and always gave them his support.
Fredo loved creating memories with his family. Fredo loved to watch soccer, basketball,
and international news, especially ABC World News Tonight with his family daily. He
loved Haitian Music and had multiple iPods that were filled with all his beloved songs.
Fredo was also a passionate craftsman who could be found in the lot during his time off,
working on his Jeep Wrangler.
Fredo was a strong, kind, loving, and supportive father. His wisdom and guidance were
the foundation of his family. Fredo was a force of nature, and when he gave his word, he
kept it. He knew how to light up a room with his humor and always strived to put a smile
on someone’s face. He was able to shift the mood to joy wherever he went. “I always
make action” is a phrase his children knew all too well through the years. Haiti remained
in his heart, and Fredo always wanted to return to Haiti. On November 27, 2021, Fredo
