Frederick “Fritz” William Fledderjohn, 85, of Mooresville, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 in Mooresville. He was born May 30, 1931 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to his late parents Frederick W. and Ruth (Curtis) Fledderjohn.
He served his country, in the U.S. Airforce; later he worked at Sears Automotive as a mechanic, for 28 years, retiring in 1993. Frederick married Wilhelmina (Baan) Fledderjohn on October 20, 1956 and were married for 60 years. He enjoyed collecting model trains and pocket knives. Fritz loved to do wood working and carving; eventually building his own kayak. He also enjoyed yard work and gardening.
Fritz is survived by his wife, Wilhelmina (Baan) Fledderjohn, his three children, Ronald (Marian) Fledderjohn of California, Steven (Laura) Fledderjohn of Greenwood, and Glen (Beverly) Fledderjohn of Mooresville, three sisters, Carolyn (John) Kepler of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Ellen (Chip) Stuckey of Florida, Linda (Sam) Gilbert of Pennsylvania, one brother, Edward (Percy) Fledderjohn of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, five grandchildren, Michelle (Phil) McClory, Douglas Fledderjohn, Scott Fledderjohn, Shandra Fledderjohn, and Kiri Fledderjohn.
