Fred was born in Rahway, NJ. He was predeceased by his parents, father, Ernest Brandt, mother, Susan Brandt (Nee Schweitzer),,father in-law, Paul Scully, Sr, and mother in-law, Mary Elizabeth Scully, his wife Mary Brandt (Nee Berlingis), his sister in-law, Kathleen Braccio, and his nephew Jonathan Braccio.

He is survived by his children, Barbara Brandt, Shawn Brandt, Shawn Allen (Donna) of Bordentown, Colleen Wallace (David) of Levittown PA, and Bill Murphy (Monica) of Philadelphia, Pa. He is survived by several grandchildren Kelly Takach of Bordentown, Hillary Tucker (Matthew) of New Egypt, Michael Allen of Bordentown, Keith Allen of Bordentown, Lance Stillings (Esther) of Edgewater Park, NJ, and Brianna Wallace of Levittown, PA. He is survived by several great grandchildren, Liam Takach of Bordentown, Mathew Tucker, Aubree Tucker, and Bentley Tucker, all of New Egypt, and Hailey and Noah Stillings of Edgewater Park.

He is also is survived by three brother-in-laws, Matthew Braccio of Haddonfield, NJ, Tom Tyrell of Lawrence, Georgia, and Ron Scully of Burlington, NJ. In addition to 1 nephew, Joe Berlingis (Debbie) of Mount Laurel and great nephew, Joey Berlingis of Mount Laurel.

 He worked for Garelick Farms/Cumberland farms dairy for 25 years as a maintenance supervisor before his retirement. He continued to work in his retirement life as a behind the wheel driving instructor at Princeton driving school. He was a volunteer football coach in the Hamilton football league for 25 years and brought the Redskins to many championships.

He was an avid fan and spectator of high school/college softball and he would be there to cheer them on, specifically his granddaughter Hillary who played for Bordentown Regional and Drexel University. He was a member of the Elks lodge in Robbinsville, and the Consolidated firehouse in Bordentown. Before that he was a fireman in Keyport NJ. He had a love for all sports and especially the Philadelphia teams, Eagles, Flyers, Phillies, and 76ers.

He loved spending time with his family and always shared many good memories of camping trips, holiday barbeques and family reunions.

He joined a new family at The Masonic Village in Burlington, NJ in 2014. This is where he remained until he passed and where he was loved by all. He never referred to them as staff but as family. He was an active choir member, played in the bell choir, and was an active member of the Masonic Village resident council.
