Frederick Vaughn Sturken, 74, of Durham, beloved husband of Coleen (Pettit) Sturken for forty eight years, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Middlesex Hospital. Born in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Frederick G. and Maurine (Ellinger) Sturken. Fred lived in Durham the past three years prior to living in Haddam. He was a veteran serving in the United States Marine Corp. He owned and operated Flow Monorail & Conveyor Company in Wallingford for twenty five years. Fred was a loving and caring person who was very devoted to his wife and children. Along with his wife, Fred is survived by three daughters, Kristyn (Sturken) Sikorski and her husband, Brian of Drums, PA, Kimberly (Sturken) Schulman and her husband, Jason of West Hartford and Kandice (Sturken) Callahan and her husband, Jason of Haddam; a brother, Craig Sturken and his wife, Mary Ann of Naples, FL; two sisters, Maurine Rodrigues and her husband, Jim of Deep River and Kathleen Harrigan of Stratford; his grandson, Chace Callahan along with several nieces and nephews.
