Frederick Martin Werner, 61, of Salem, died at 6:25 a.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at the Salem Community Hospital. He was born July 12, 1951 in Salem, Ohio, the son of the late William F. and Anna C. (Dorling) Werner. Fred had been employed at the former Mullins & Deming Pump Company and was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Salem. He was a 1969 graduate of Salem High School and attended Ohio State University. Fred was a member of the Salem Saxon Lodge – Branch #19 and an avid OSU football fan. Survivors include his sister, Shirley (Anthony “Tony”) Kataro of Davenport, Florida; two brothers, William R. Werner of Mansfield and Arthur L. Werner of Salem; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Marilyn McNutt of Salem.
