Mr. Frederick Leighton Rowan, Jr., 71, resident of Palatka, Fl died at Haven Hospice in Palatka, early Thursday , June 23, 2011 after an extended illness.
He was a native of Quincy, Fl, son of the late Frederick L. and Tommye Alice Ayers Rowan and had made his home in Palatka for the past forty years. Prior to Palatka he had resided in Jacksonville, Fl. for many years. He was a graduate of the Citadel and also served in the US Air Force in Vietnam.
