Frederick H. Seremet, 63, of Newington died suddenly on Friday, Nov. 21, 2014 at home. He was the beloved husband of Nina (McKenna) Seremet. Born in Hartford, son of Gertrude (Nowicki) Seremet of Newington and the late Edward S. Seremet, he was a lifelong Newington resident. Fred graduated from Newington High School in 1969 and served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He attended Hartford Institute of Accounting and graduated from Post College, Waterbury, where he received a B.A. Degree in Accounting. He retired from Northeast Utilities after 38 years of employment and worked part-time at Goodwin Park Golf Course, Hartford. Fred served on the Newington Fire Dept. Co. #1, the Newington Volunteer Ambulance Corps, where he also was on the Board of Directors and was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #3884, Newington. Fred was a member of the Polish American Club, the Indian Hill Country Club and the Hartford Whalers Booster Club, where he also served as past-president. In his leisure time he was an avid golfer. Besides his wife and mother, he leaves his two brothers and sisters-in-law Edward S. Seremet, Jr. and Laura of Newington, Thomas J. Seremet and Pamela of Nashua, NH, two step daughters Donna LaRosa of Chelsea, MA, Linda LaRosa of Beverly, MA, his nephew Daniel Seremet and his wife Meghan, four nieces Andrea, Bethany, Alicia, Kelsey Seremet and his great niece Myra.
