Frederick E. Schmidt, Jr., 53, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021 in Community South Hospital. He was born on November 25, 1967 in Danville, Indiana, to Frederick E. Schmidt, Sr. and Connie (Bigelow) Schmidt.
Fred or “Freddydoo” as he was known to his kids, was a loving and devoted husband, father and Papaw. He always put his family first and loved to sing You are My Sunshine to his wife Juanita (“Sis”) and she in turn would sing it to him during their 21 years together.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita “Sis” (Strait) Schmidt; father and step-mother, Frederick E. and Juanita Schmidt, Sr.; children, Tommy (Jennifer) Love, Arvetta Dillard and Amber (Gary) Clark; siblings, Barbara (Randy) Miller, Peggy (Frankie) Morrison, Carol (Donnie) Miller, David Lynn and Lisa (Jeff) Orbaugh; and grandchildren, Joseph, Kayden, Jaxon, Aubree “MeMe,” Kayla, Bella, Noah, Elliott, Chandler and Kennedy. He was preceded in death by his mother, Connie Schmidt; brother, Michael Naylor; and sister-in-law, Nikki Lynn.
