Frederick E. Golden of Plymouth, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Wednesday evening March 24th at B.I.D. Hospital Plymouth. He was the beloved husband of the late Virginia (Vulso) Golden. Born in Boston, on March 31, 1942, he was the son of the late Frederick E. Sr. and Catherine (O’Mara) Golden. A graduate of Avon High, Fred was a member of both the varsity basketball and baseball teams and after graduation, he was enlisted in the U.S. Army National Guard. He was a longtime member of the Local # 25 Teamsters Union and worked as a Truck Driver for Pappas Liquors and as a Warehouse Manager for Shaughnessy Co. before retiring. He was a family man who loved vacations and Sunday drives with his family, cribbage, tennis, and telling stories. He is survived by his daughters Lisa Hall and her husband Jeff of Plymouth and Cathy Wilson of Bourne. He was the grandfather of Justin Golden of Plymouth, Robin Besegai of Marshfield, Jimmy Wilson of Bourne, Joshua Hall of Plymouth, and Marisa Hall of Plymouth. Great grandfather of Catie Golden, Myles Besegai and Mila Besegai.
