Frederick C. Elsasser Jr. 77 of Toms River, NJ died on Sunday October 29, 2017 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick, NJ. Born in Irvington, NJ he lived in Livingston and Pt. Pleasant Beach before settling in Toms River in 1988. Fred worked out of Teamsters Local 478 for 27 years for Ashland Oil and then 14 years for the Borough of Point Pleasant Beach in the Public Works Dept. as a repairman.
He was an avid Giants Fan and enjoyed spending time with his family and was always eager to lend a hand. Predeceased by his parents Frederick and Helen, his sister Mary Beckert and brother William. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Arlene nee Schneider. 2 daughters Sharon Cherry and her husband William of Brick and Lori Stogdill and her husband Michael of Lavallette. Two grandchildren Kelly Cherry and Craig Stogdill.
