FREDERICK G. VAN BOLHUIS of Wappingers Falls, New York passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at the age of 73. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Pinckney Van Bolhuis. Also surviving are his children, Kristen Niclaus and her husband Eric and Kerrie Van Bolhuis. Along with his children, he is survived by five grandchildren, Brooke Niclaus, Megan Cutinella, Jenna Rogers, Jackie Rogers, Johnny Rogers; a sister, Bonnie Nielsen and several nieces and nephews. A beloved granddaughter, Hailey Niclaus predeceased him and together they are our angels in heaven keeping watch over us. “You left and forgot to tell our hearts how to go on without you”. Fred was born in Poughkeepsie, New York, on September 18, 1942 to Edmund G. and Pauline Van Bolhuis who predeceased him along with a sister, Joan Douglass. He graduated from Poughkeepsie High School. He was a National Guard reservist for over 20 years and was a previous member of the Wappingers Rotary Club and Knights of Columbus. He was employed in the Banking industry for many years and retired as a mortgage loan officer for Key Bank. On January 17, 1970, he married the former Elizabeth J. Pinckney. They recently celebrated 46 years of marriage.
