Freda Fiveash Massey joined all her cherished family and friends in heaven on the evening of April 6, 2014. She was born February 5, 1938, in Clinch County Georgia, and was the daughter of the late John Walter Fiveash, Sr., and Eva Mae Fiveash.

She was the widow of the late G. Aaron Massey, Sr. who was well-known in law enforcement in Coweta County. Freda retired as Deputy Clerk of Superior Court for Coweta County after many years of service. Aaron and Freda met at the Courthouse in Newnan, became friends, and later married. They were able to accomplish a task that many have when two families are blended. Through unconditional love, a strong sense of compassion, and devotion to their bedrock Christian values they were able to create a new strong family. Freda had a wonderful giving spirit. She was a devoted caregiver for anyone that needed help. When the time came for Freda to deal with her own health issues that same care was returned to her by all of her children. Freda shared her faith as a devoted member of Westside Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters Karan A. Rawlins of Tifton; Renee Rawlins of Hogansville; her children by marriage, George A. Massey, Jr. and his wife Deborah, Brenda M. Floyd and her husband Richard and Kathy Rush and her husband Larry. She loved being a grandmother to Katherine M. Wray who preceded her in death, David E. Bowling, Eric Jones, Matthew Jones, Shannon Massey Hansen, and John Aaron Brown. She cherished the great-grandchildren Aidan Wray, Sophia Bowling, Kaylin Brown, Katelyn, Hayden, and Hendricks Hansen.
