Freda McDaniel Gammon, 79 of 1640 Loomfixer Lake Road, Danville VA died Friday June 1, 2012 at Morehead Hospital, Eden NC. She was born June 5, 1932 to the late Posey McDaniel, Sr. and the late Lottie Wilson McDaniel. Mrs. Gammon was married to the late Belvie Gammon. She was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church. Mrs. Gammon worked for Tultex Mill in the Cutting Department. Mrs. Gammon is survived by two daughters Joyce Weatherford and husband “Tim†of Chatham VA and Lois Finney of Danville: three sisters; Rosie Wilson of Danville, Susan Kaye McDaniel of TX and Patricia Walden of Climax VA: one brother; Gene McDaniel of FL: one son-in-law David Finney of Danville: three grandchildren; David Jones, Tammy Finney and Ethan Weatherford. In addition to her parents and husband she is predeceased by one daughter; Judy Finney: one son; Barry Gammon: one sister Elaine Peek: one brother Posey McDaniel, Jr.
