Freda June Peters, age 74, of Piedmont Street, Grafton, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Mon General Hospital. She was born in Taylor County, February 12, 1939, a daughter of the late Lafayette “Earl” Peters and Dencie Virginia (Smallwood) Peters.
Freda worked for many years at the former Sheltered Workshop. She enjoyed listening to gospel music, playing her guitar, and was “the biggest fan” of Nashville recording artists Taylor Made.
Surviving are: two sisters, Delores Coy, and Charlotte Duckworth, both of Grafton; six nieces and nephews who were like siblings, Sherri Duckworth Sibley, Christine Duckworth Haddix, Gregory Duckworth, Brian Duckworth, Wendy Williams, and Traci White; and also several other nieces; nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great great nieces and nephews,
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: two sisters Lorretta Jean Shingleton, and Norma Lee Morrison; and one nephew Dennis Duckworth.
