CLARK, FREDA F. Freda F. Clark, age 89, of Roswell, passed away August 4, 2010. She was a resident of Mission Arch Care Center, although her heart was always in her small home on West Walnut in Roswell where she lived for over 50 years.

Freda was born September 13, 1920 in Chateaugay, New York to John and Daisy Clark. She was one of six children. Brothers John and Robert, sisters Margaret, Thelma and Jean all preceded her in death.

Freda graduated from Alfred NY State College and moved to Roswell in 1946. She first worked at the Roswell Building and Loan as a bookkeeper. Freda later was a finance clerk at the State Engineers office in Roswell. She was a member of the Methodist Church and also the State Retirees Association.

Freda was an avid knitter. Much of her work was donated to those in need. Her hats and mittens are worn by children and adults in New Mexico and in New England. Freda loved opera and rarely missed listening on Saturday afternoons. She was also a voracious reader. She donated all of her books to the Roswell Library.

She enjoyed getting together with family and when she and her brothers and sisters got together, no matter where, there was always love and a great deal of laughter.

Freda is survived by 12 nieces and nephews.
