Fred J. Jordan, 84, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully in his residence, on October 11, 2018. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Angelo and Gaetana (Granice) Giordano. He was a graduate of Liberty High School, class of 1952. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Freddy joined the Bethlehem Police Department in 1963, and served 28 years as a motorcycle officer, juvenile officer, criminal investigator, and Sergeant, until retiring in 1991. He later served as a Sheriff for Northampton County for 18 years, until retiring in 2014. He was a member of the Bethlehem F.O.P. Star Lodge #20 as well as many social clubs. He was also a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Bethlehem. Freddy was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan. He enjoyed telling stories, riding his motorcycle, and the company of family and friends.
SURVIVORS: He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Lynda R. Yocum and husband Skip of Fountain Hill, Joanne Smith and husband Dennis of Nazareth; son Angelo T. Jordan, Sr. and wife Jeanmarie of Whitehall; sisters Dolores Schnecker of Bethlehem and Mickey Berry and husband John of Bethlehem; Grandchildren Derek and wife Laurie, Jordan and fiancé Cassie, Angelo, Jr. and wife Jessica, Caitlin and husband Clint, and Allie; great-grandchildren Matthew, Evan, and Alex.
