Mr. Gauthier passed away Sunday July 31, 2011 surrounded by his family. Age 102 years. The son of the late Tellisford and Valerie (Potvin) Gauthier was born November 7, 1908 in Black River, Michigan. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Mr. Gauthier retired from Consolidated Construction and was a member of Carpenters Local #706 in Saginaw. He enjoyed hunting, trout fishing, going up north to the cabin, gardening and was an avid Detroit Tigers Fan. He was a kind and gentle man with a sharp memory.
He is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law; Lawrence R. and Maxine Gauthier of Linwood and Lester J. and Karen Gauthier of Bay City, one daughter; Shirley Thorpe of Linwood, ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren, one sister; Elvena Lapinski, one brother; Joseph Gauthier, many nieces and nephews.
