Muncie – Fred Gross, 63, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2013, unexpected at his residence.
Fred was born in Mishawaka on January 20, 1950, the son of Ralleigh Gross and Betty (Hayes) Gross-Brubaker, and was a 1969 graduate of Mishawaka High School.
Mr. Gross proudly served in the United States Army. During the Vietnam War he served in the Special Forces as a Tracker.
Survivors include his wife, Debora Gross, Muncie; a son, Daniel Gross, Muncie; a daughter, Traci Gross, Muncie; his mother, his step-mother, Nancy Gross, Lakeville; a sister, Vicki Taberski, (husband-Tom), South Bend; a step-brother, Larry Campbell, (wife-Elaine), North Liberty; a step-sister, Chris Campbell, Tippecanoe; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; and two step-fathers, Bill Buzek, and Harry Brubaker.
