Fred D. �Scottie� Scott, 75, Anderson, passed away December 2, 2009 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born December 23, 1933 in Union Springs, Alabama, and resided in Anderson since 1952. Fred retired in 1998 from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 47 years of service.
He was a member of Mt. Zion church in Union Springs, Alabama. Fred enjoyed rabbit hunting. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Vickie Webster, Scott; children, Claudette, CyLinda, Brenda, Debbie, Tommy, Fred Jr., Delaney, Willie James, Lonnie, Bill and Dougie; two special grandchildren, Tyler Victoria Smith and Curtis Williams Jr.; sister, Arlene Cottrell; brother, Jackie & wife Mott Scott; alot of special friends and co-workers; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theo Scott & Ella Mae Weaver; daughters, Vernell Scott and Linda Scott; brother, George Scott and sister, Mary Dean Scott.Source link
