Franklin Hixenbaugh, 83, of Rowlesburg, WV, died Saturday, July 9, 2016, at the Pine Ridge Nursing Home in Kingwood surrounded by his family.

He was born on October 9, 1932, a son of the late Clarence William and Mildred Katherine (Goff) Hixenbaugh.

Franklin was a faithful servant and lived his life to truly witness for his Savior Jesus Christ. He helped build and attended the Rowlesburg Pentecostal Church, where he provided his musical talents and later his ministry talent. Franklin never knew a stranger and once meeting him he touched your heart. Franklin will truly be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his two sons, David and Sandy Hixenbaugh of Masontown, Joey Hixenbaugh and James Layman of Morgantown; three daughters, Peggy and Bob Spaid of Eglon, Judy and Gary Clarkson and Jody and Mark Goff all of Rowlesburg; one brother, Darrell Hixenbaugh of Terra Alta; ten grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Franklin was preceded in death by his loving wife, Bessie Hixenbaugh in 2008. He was also preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price Street on Monday, July 11, 2016 from 3-8 p.m. and on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 10:00 a.m.
