Mr. Frank York Colbert “Grandpa” of Tampa, FL passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021.
Frank York Colbert was born on November 15, 1937 in Tampa, FL to Archie Lee Colbert and Mary Etta Luster. He was named after Dr. A. York.
Mr. Colbert graduated from Carver Sr. High and entered the Navy where he received an Honorable Discharge. He worked for Florida Steel Corporation for years, City of Tampa Sanitation, Station Bar and also home improvement.
He loved music and was in a quartet with Mr. Steve Dixon and Micheal plus one other. He was long lived out of 7 boys and 5 girls.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Nettie Jewel Colbert.
He leaves to cherish his memory: devoted daughter, Voncia Whaley (Ray); two granddaughters, Iesha Forman (Eddie) and Russhea Simmons; one sister, Doretha; brother-in-law, Hossey Floyd; sister-in-law, Charlie Mae Colbert; niece Mary Colbert Frazier, of St. Petersburg, FL and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
