Frank R. Nusbaum, 82, residing at Greencroft in Goshen, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 11, 2020. He was the son of Clifford and Bertha (Stricker) Nusbaum and was born on July 15, 1938 into a large family in Elkhart, IN. He lived in this area his whole life. Frank worked at manufacturing jobs when he was younger, and his last job was in maintenance at Goshen General Hospital. He was proud of his hard work in that setting, having been employed there for 17 years.
Frank was a loyal friend, who loved fishing, dogs and cats, Hank Williams and other classic county singers, biscuits and gravy, and a good cup of coffee shared with a loved one. Frank was a giving person who generously donated items to ADEC. He was a patriotic man, and he enjoyed decorating for every holiday. Frank was an enthusiastic fan of the Cubs, the Bears and Notre Dame. At a younger age, he liked tending the horses on his family’s farm, and always spoke fondly of the good old days. In recent years, he realized a dream of visiting the Grand Old Opry in Nashville, TN, and he relished the memories of that vacation
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, and by two sisters Bertie Crago, and husband Ken; Jane Holderman and husband Jim; and three brothers Charles “Ben” Nusbaum and wife Betty who is still living; Fred Nusbaum and wife Sandra, and David Nusbaum and wife, Sandra.
The love of Frank’s life was Nancy E. Elliot of Goshen, who preceded him in death. Frank and Nancy were active members of West Goshen Church of the Brethren for many years.
