Mr. Francis R. “Frank” Myler, of Southbury, died Sunday, January 3, 2010, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, CT. Mr. Myler was born in Brooklyn, NY, on January 6, 1930, the son of the late James and Margaret (Campbell) Myler. He graduated from Franklin K. Lane High School and he served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. After an honorable discharge, he began a career as a draftsman. He worked as a mechanical designer/draftsman for Bristol Babcock for 20+ years. When the company relocated to Watertown, CT, Frank moved his family to Southbury, CT, where he lived for over 30 years, raising his children and enjoying his grandchildren.

Frank leaves four children, Tom Myler of Middlebury/New Haven, CT, Mary Cabrera of Cheshire, CT, Terri Craig and her husband Al of Waterbury, CT, and Laurie Bain and her husband Doug, of Southbury, CT. He also leaves his grandchildren, Kory and Kristin Cabrera and Ethan, Grayden and Simon Bain, to whom he was a loving “Poppy” and who will all miss him terribly. Frank was predeceased by his wife, Diane, in 2006, and his eldest daughter, Pat, in 2007.
