Frank M. Cooper

HONEYVILLE – Frank M. Cooper, 92 passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Ogden Regional Hospital.
Frank was born on November 21, 1923 in Englewood, New Jersey a son of Auburn Forest and Albertina Edrehi Cooper. He attended 1-6 grade school in Coytesville, New Jersey and Sr. High School at Fort Lee, New Jersey. He studied RCA Electronic Fundamentals, ICS Aircraft Drafting and graduated from the New York Institute of Photography. He worked at Argonaut Photo studio, Teaneck, New Jersey Sargent Roundy Corporation, Randolph, Vermont, Sample’s Shipyard, Boothbay Harbor, Maine, Fellows Gaearshaper Co., Springfield, Vermont, Thiokol Chemical Corporation, Brigham City, Utah, McDonnell Aircraft, St. Louis Missouri, Boeing Co., Seattle, Washington, Morris Knudsen Assoc. Langdon, North Dakota and Ewing Technical, Farmingdale, New York.
He played classical piano music, also loved swimming, weightlifting, Yankees baseball, reading books, backpacking and camping, Oregon Coast trips with the family and motorcycle trips, including trip to Vermont and Coast of Maine.
Frank met and married Sybil Marie Jarvis on October 1, 1948 in Rutland, Vermont. Later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on August 28, 1958. They had three children: Gene (Lisa), Diana (Bob), and Peter (Suzanne).
They joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on June 9, 1957 at Sharon, Vermont. He served on a genealogical committee, three stake missions, counselor in the Elder’s Quorum, seventies Leader, executive secretary and pianist for the Priesthood.
He is survived by his Sybil, Honeyville; children: Gene F. (Lisa) Cooper, Anacortes, Washington; Diana (Robert) Taylor, Riverdale, Utah; Peter M. (Suzanne) Cooper, Kaysville, Utah; a brother Albert (Shirley) Cooper, Rockville, Utah; sister-in-law Clarice Cooper, Overland Park, Kansas; Virginia Cooper, Pam Cooper, Minot, Maine. He leaves 10 grandchildren: Sasha (John) Woodard, Bow, Washington; Coyte (Brandy) Cooper, Noblesville, Indiana; Matthew (Angie) Cooper, Durham, North Carolina; Nathan Taylor, Riverdale, Utah; Risa (Rob) Taylor, Plain City, Utah; Tessa (Jeremy) Brodis, Ogden, Utah; Cameron (Kat) Cooper, Fruit Heights, Utah; Tyson (Emily) Cooper, Farmington, Utah; Desiree (Kyle) Winter, Roy, Utah; Taylor (Nick) Sanchez, Kaysville, Utah; 11 great-granchildren: Stevie Woodard, Carter and Mya Cooper, Kinsley Cooper, Austin Gronski, Bran Brodis, Jaxon, Logan and Lydia Cooper, Karson Mitchell, Kole Winter and two more on the way.
