Frank Mazzei, Jr. 92, of Spelter, formally of Shinnston, went to be with the Lord Saturday February 28th at United Hospital Center. He was born August 6th, 1916 in Meadowbrook a son of the late Frank Mazzei, Sr. and Jennie Bart Mazzei. He is survived by one sister Mary Sissy Waugh of Lexington, Ky and his loving and devoted companion, Mary J. Tate of Spelter. One Niece, Barbara Ann Piefer and husband Nat of Florida; four nephews James Waugh of Charleston, Russell Waugh of Lexington, KY, Jodie Waugh of Lexington, KY and Frankie Mazzei of Fl. He is also survived by one adopted granddaughter Ashlyn Jo Elbon Minnick of Meadowbrook and several great nieces and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by his wife Madeline Venus Mazzei who passed away in 1984; one sister Anne Dolva; three brothers, James, Joseph and David Mazzei. Frank was a graduate of Shinnston High School. He attended Georgetown and Ohio Universities. He was a salesman for many years for his father for the Shinnston wholesale and later was the owner of Enterprise Dairy Mart. He served during WWII in the United States Army and was a member of the Shinnston Moose and American Legion Post 31 in Shinnston. Frank was a member of the St. Ann’s Catholic Church where he was a very devoted Christian. Frank never knew a stranger and was loved by every one who knew him. He will be greatly missed by everyone he touched. A special thanks to Dr. Harman, his caretakers, Tammy Tate and Nedra Forinash and all his extended family who dearly loved him.
