Frank Formica, Sr. of Staten Island, NY and Lavallette, NJ , passed away peacefully on April 10, 2018 after a short illness. Frank was born in Bronx, NY and lived most of his life on Staten Island, before retiring to Lavallette, NJ. He attended New Dorp High School and Staten Island Community College where he received his Associate Degree. He joined the NYC Sanitation Dept. in 1969 and retired 20 years later as a Superintendent. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Amy nee Crews.
He is also survived by his daughters, Allison Formica, and Melissa Papis ( Andrew) , and sons Frank Formica Jr. ( Milissa) and Anthony Formica ( Danielle). He was a loving grandfather to 9 grandchildren Amanda, Samantha, Andrew, Kristin, Angelica, Nicholas, Danielle, Anthony and Thomas along with 3 step grandchildren Samantha, John and Sabrina. He loved the beach, hunting and his family and friends. When he walked into the room and you saw him smile, you knew that you were loved.
