Frank J. Siraco, 90, of West Hartford, loving husband for 69 years of Mary J. (Taurone) Siraco, peacefully passed away at St. Mary’s Home on Thursday, August 14, 2014. Born in East Boston, MA, he had been a resident of Burlington and Malden, MA and recently made his home in West Hartford. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Frank was a mechanical engineer for MIT Draper Lab in Cambridge, MA and was involved with the guidance system for the Apollo project. He was a very kind and caring man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was a proud member of the Greatest Generation. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, John F. Siraco and his wife Valerie as well as his brothers Peter and Daniel and their families. He was predeceased by his only sister Julia Barbero. The family would like to thank the kind, gentle and compassionate staff of St. Mary’s for the care given to Frank and his family during his stay with them.
