Frank Joseph Ranuro, 89, of Silver Ridge Park Westerly section of Berkeley Township, NJ passed away on Tuesday December 30th, 2014 at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ. Frank was born in North Bergen, NJ then raised in Union City, NJ, and returning to North Bergen, NJ for 40 years before moving to Toms River, NJ 20 years ago.
He was in the US Navy of 3 ½ years where he served in the South West Pacific in the Philippines in Lehte Gulf Battle with Japan. He was a Teamster working out of local #560 and #641 and was a Truck Driver for Preston Trucking before retiring. Frank was a member of the VFW Post #10185, Berkeley Township Predeceased by his parents Julia and Louis Ranuro. Survived by his beloved wife Harriet of 60 years, his loving son Frank Jr. and his wife Christina and his brother Joseph, two beloved granddaughters Katie and Krista Ranuro. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
