Obituary of Frank J. Krease
KREASE, Frank J., Jr. of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Saginaw Senior Care Center. He was 87 years old. Frank J. Krease was born on June 1, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Frank J. and Margaret (Ott) Krease. He served in the United States Army in the Philippines and was honorably discharged on November 27, 1946. He married his true love, Shirley Mae Newas on April 10, 1948 and settled in Saginaw where they raised five children together. She preceded him in death on January 8, 1989. He was employed at Saginaw Steering Gear for 25 years until his retirement on December 1, 1975. He was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral, now known as The Cathedral of Mary of The Assumption, a devout Catholic and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Left behind to cherish his memory and hold him in their hearts forever are his four children: Karen (Bill) St. Clair, Gayle Krease, Richard Krease, and Susan Krease; his ‘Honey’ of 20 plus years, Evelyn Tilot; and a very special lifelong friend, Marilyn Giffin. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Jean Krease, Cynthia Krease, and Carol (Brian) Moody; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; son, David F. Krease; and four siblings: Kay Schanz, Dorothy Kramer, James Krease, and William Krease.
The family would like to thank everyone at Saginaw Senior Care for taking such wonderful care of him these last five months, as well as Heartland Hospice for their care during his last days.
