Frank J. Carnevale, 95, of Montoursville and formerly of Williamsport, passed away Friday, September 8, 2017 at home surrounded by his family.

Born May 7, 1922 in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Dominic and Lucy (Mercante) Carnevale.

Frank served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. He worked his entire life as a barber and as a repairman for Williamsport Barber and Beauty Supply. He also was co-owner of Powy’s Park for many years. He was a member of the former Ascension Catholic Church, and currently a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish. Frank was a member of the Republican League, the former Antlers Club, Democratic Club, and was part owner of Slacks Run Hunting Club. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and furniture making.

Surviving are his wife of 18 years Josephine (Cellini) Carnevale whom he married September 25, 1999, two sons Scott Mundrick, of Canadaqua, NY, and Kevin Carnevale,  of Williamsport; step children, Greg Bordinger (Cathy) of Elmira, NY, Christopher Bordinger of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Scott Bordinger (Kimberly) of Port St. Lucy, FL and Kimberly Cooley (Ted) of Williamsport; five grandchildren, six step grandchildren, four great grandchildren; a brother Jerry Carnevale of Williamsport; two sisters, Helen Allgaier of Annapolis, MD, and Virginia Marchese, of Williamsport; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, L. Blanche Hufford Carnevale in 1995, two daughters Sherry Perry and Kathy Gottschall, and three brothers Joseph, Peter, and John Carnevale.
