Frank Hubel, 84, of Middletown, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2016 at Middlesex Hospital. Born on November 18, 1931 in Middletown, he was the son of the late Adolph Emil and Lillian (Morrison) Hubel. Frank lived in Middletown his entire life and graduated Middletown High School. He attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Marine Corp. Frank was a longtime Boy Scout Leader in Middletown. He worked at Amato’s Toy Store in New Britain, Pratt & Whitney Aircraft manufacturing, Hunter Communications and for many years at Color Mart and Middletown Plate Glass as a picture framer. Frank was a talented artist, enjoyed doing crafts and traveling the world. He is survived by his brother, Roy Hubel and his wife, Isobel of Engelwood, CO; his sister, Roberta Adams of Portland and several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Frank was predeceased by his brother, Bruce Hubel and his brother-in-law, Walter C. Adams, Jr.
