Mr. Frank Houston Carnley, 80, of Valley, AL passed away at his residence on Saturday, July 30, 2016. He was born on October 20, 1935 in Coffee County, AL to the late William & Allie McKinney Carnley. He was a graduate of Kinston High School, Opelika Technical School and SUSCC. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the U. S. Army and served as a Military Policeman and with the Color Guard having received numerous commendations during his service as well as a participant in the 1957 Orange Bowl. He was a retired employee of West Point Pepperell and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Judy Young Carnley; daughters, Carole Hilderbrand (Russ), Patricia Andrews (Jody) Lisa Langley (Stacy) all of Valley; his grandchildren, Amanda Lott (Matt White), Mitchell Lott, Haley Elliott (Josh), Ty Langley, Kaydie Earnest (Ryan), Kendall Andrews (Katie Langley), Drew Langley (Carly); great-grandchildren, Kenley Elliott, Dawson Elliott & Baylor Earnest; sisters, Mary Bess & Louise Morris; sisters-in-law, Joan Pike (Bobby), Mary Sue Carnley; brother-in-law, Richard Young (Susan) and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Carnley, his parents, brothers, Grady Carnley, Lewis Carnley, Alfred Carnley, & Willard Carnley; his sister Cumie Fuller; his father& mother-in-law, Harold & Mildred Young. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
